I felt everything I want to feel during a session with these two. Phoebe and Jonathan hold so much joy in their relationship—they tease and have fun and don’t take themselves too seriously and isn’t that what all this is about?
A year and a half ago, these two got married, and I'm still over here, all crazy about this day. There's so much friendship to what these two got going on, and that's a marriage I can get behind every single time; the kind that started with friendship FIRST.
We met Taylor and Jared a few weeks after they got married. We actually joined the small group they were co-leading while they were on their honeymoon, and later we co-led the same small group, full of a bunch of twenty-something newlyweds just like us, with them. And now they're parents to the sweetest little twins and life is the most beautiful thing.
I can't think of anything more fun than getting together with all my besties and having a blast together while taking some pretty pics.
(I mean, can you?!)
These girls aren't just gorgeous, they're stinkin' hilarious, and we laughed all the way through the cray West Texas winds and didn't let them slow us down at all. This is exactly how senior sessions (and ANY session for that matter) should go down: all. the. fun. If you're not having a ball, I'm not doing my job right.
Nothing gives me life like working with families. All the different dynamics and little interactions and all the different ways that love moves between a little tribe of people--it's pure magic. It's a sacred experience for me. I'm so honored to be chosen to tell the stories of families like these.
Four years ago, the tall boy from my freshman history class, who had become my best friend and partner in life over the four years we had been together, asked me to marry him. The sun was setting as we sat on the shore of Lake Ft. Phantom, and as we sipped our lattes, he told me the story of our relationship and we imagined our future together. We promised to always keep discovering each other, to never stop dating, to be each other's place of safety and security, and to never stop celebrating the little things.
This session was fun and laid-back and full of laughing and joking, but it was so special and sweet for me. The collision of these two worlds, two loves, two adventures I am so thrilled I get to call “jobs”…but never seem to feel like work… What a life, y’all.
We met up with these two while we were in Bend, and roamed around the Cascade Lakes for hours, exploring, laughing, and having a blast. These two have a love for each other that shows in all the right ways: kindness, total infatuation with each other, good-natured teasing, lots of laughter, and obvious friendship.
In case you missed it, I'm a Christmas fanatic, y'all. I have been since I was teeny tiny. I've always been an excited, antsy mess for all the twinkling lights, the parties and fellowship, the festive music, the presents, the decorating.
But it was always more than just those things. Those aspects of this season have always symbolized something much greater--something much more REAL to me.
Kara's bridal session was SO. MUCH. FUN. and not just because she's my bff since 6th grade, and we've been talking about and dreaming up our wedding days as long as we've known each other, but this bridal session was actually a surprise, thanks to Kara's sweet mom!
